The Knights were formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. The social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public relief works.
One of the many charitable programs of our council is the Youth Scholarship Program. These scholarships will help the young adults of our parish continue their education past high school. This year we will be awarding up to 7 - $1000 Scholarships and 4 - $500 Scholarships.
To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must be a member of a family registered at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church of Katy, or a members of the immediate family (wife, son, or daughter) or a Knight who is a member of our council. The recipients of a Scholarship last year are ineligible this year. Current college students, medical students, etc. are eligible to apply.
